FAQ

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about caring for your Woodland Hills Forge tools. I want to ensure you have all the knowledge needed to maintain your investment and enjoy them for years to come.

What are the most important things customers should know to keep their hand-forged bbq and fireplace tools in top condition?

All tools are made from carbon steel, which means they are susceptible to rust. However, with proper care, they will develop a protective patina over time. Regularly apply wax or natural oils to protect the surface. Avoid dishwashers and soap; if exposed, clean and reapply wax or oil.

What cleaning methods do you recommend for your forged tools? Are there any products or techniques customers should avoid?

I recommend cleaning your tools with water only and ensuring they are stored dry. For aftercare, myself and customers highly recommend my Woodland Wax, made with three food-safe ingredients. A small amount goes a long way in protecting your tools.

What kind of warranty do you offer, and what are the steps customers should take if their tools need repair or restoration?

I stand by the quality and  craftsmanship of my work. If any of your tools become heavily rusted, bent, or God forbid, broken, I offer free repairs or a fully forged replacement. Please contact directly to arrange for the repair or replacement of your tool.

Do you have any advice on how to best store the tools when they're not in use to prevent rust or damage?

Always store your tools in a dry environment, preferably indoors. Even when covered outdoors, humidity can lead to moisture and rust formation. Keeping them indoors ensures they remain protected from the elements.
